How I Work

How Telehealth Sessions Work

Secure video care from a private place where you are physically located in Texas, Colorado, or Idaho.

Where You Connect

A Private Place Is Enough

Telehealth sessions happen over secure video. You do not have to travel to an office, but you do need a place where you can speak without being overheard. A closed door and headphones can help. Some people use a parked car when home does not offer privacy; the car needs to remain parked throughout the appointment. Please do not join while driving or from a place where someone else can hear your conversation.

You must be physically located in Texas, Colorado, or Idaho at the time of each session. Where you live on paper is not the same as where you are sitting that day. If you travel, let Andrea know ahead of time so you can discuss whether your scheduled appointment can go forward. Routine sessions are online, and there is no office for them.

Before You Log In

Give Yourself a Little Space

Choose a device with a stable connection, charge it, and check that the microphone and camera work. Keep headphones nearby if other people share your home. A glass of water and a few minutes before and after the session can make the transition into the conversation less abrupt. You do not need special equipment or a perfectly quiet house, only reasonable privacy and enough attention to stay with the appointment.

You can attend in English or Spanish. If you have concerns about where you will connect from, bring them up before the appointment. Andrea can talk through practical options without asking you to share private health details in a general request form. If the connection fails during a session, she can discuss how to proceed using the agreed plan for that appointment.

For Two People

Couples Can Join Together

For couples work, both partners can sit in the same private room and join from one device. Position it so Andrea can see and hear each of you clearly. Plan for a place where neither partner has to worry about someone walking in mid-conversation. If you cannot share a room, discuss the arrangement before the session rather than assuming two connections will work for every kind of appointment.

A 50-minute Couples and Sex Therapy session is $300. An individual 50-minute session is $225, and individual Sex Therapy is $250 for 50 minutes. A 90-minute Extended Specialty Session is $395. The concern and the people involved help determine which format is appropriate, not the technology itself.

Longer Appointments

Plan for Time on Both Sides

An intensive may last 180 minutes, and a custom multi-day format begins at 360+ minutes. For a longer telehealth appointment, protect enough time to prepare, take the agreed breaks, and settle afterward. A required $100 consultation comes first, and the $100 is credited in full toward your first paid session or intensive. Andrea will discuss whether the longer format and your connection setting fit the work you want to do.

Some intensives may be arranged in person in Austin; details are discussed at consultation. Regular therapy remains available by telehealth for clients located in Texas, Colorado, or Idaho at session time. Whether you are meeting weekly or for extended time, the goal is a conversation in which you can stay present and speak privately.
