Trauma and PTSD
Trauma and PTSD Therapy
You have told the story. You understand what happened. Yet your body, your relationships, or the way you see yourself may still respond as if it is not over.

Beyond the Story
Your Response Makes Sense in Context
Trauma is not measured by whether you can explain it calmly today. A single incident, complex trauma, grief and loss, or wounds formed in relationships can shape your sense of safety long after the circumstances have changed.
Sometimes the lasting burden is a negative belief about yourself. Sometimes it is the way closeness, conflict, or uncertainty brings back an old alarm. We make room for both the story and what happens around it now.
Care That Can Move at Your Pace
Preparation Comes First
We pay attention to what helps you feel steady enough for the work. There is no requirement to start with the hardest memory.
Methods With a Purpose
Andrea is EMDR trained. EMDR, nervous-system-informed and somatic work may be integrated when clinically appropriate, with attention to what you want to address.
Integration Matters
Processing is only part of the work. We also notice how old responses show up in the present and what support you need between sessions.
Is This a Fit?
You are ready to explore what still feels unfinished, and you want the work to be active without being rushed. A consultation can help determine whether weekly sessions or extended time is appropriate.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to retell everything in detail?
No. Treatment begins with assessment and preparation. You and Andrea discuss what is appropriate to address and how to pace the work.
Is EMDR the only approach?
No. EMDR may be one part of treatment, alongside nervous-system-informed and somatic work when clinically appropriate.
Could an extended session make sense?
A 90-minute session or an EMDR intensive may provide more uninterrupted time. The consultation is where fit and format are considered.
There is room for the parts that have not caught up.
Start with a $100 consultation. The $100 is credited in full toward your first paid session or intensive.
