Why the First Consultation Is Paid

The first consultation is a $100 clinical conversation. It reserves real time to understand the concern and consider whether Andrea's work fits what you need.

A Real Appointment

What the $100 Covers

Andrea sets aside the $100 consultation to hear what brought you here, ask questions that clarify the concern, and talk about appropriate care. You can explain what you have tried, which part remains difficult, and why you are considering therapy now. She can describe what a first paid session or intensive would involve.

The fee protects dedicated time for people who are ready to have that clinical conversation. It also makes space for honest discussion when Andrea thinks another format or provider may be a better fit. You are not expected to know which service you need before reaching out. A useful consultation can end with clarity about a direction even when that direction is not an intensive.

Choosing Care

Questions You Can Bring

You can ask whether a recurring fear sounds like something to assess for OCD, how EMDR preparation works, or whether you and your partner should attend together. Andrea can ask where the issue shows up and what you do when it appears. Those details help her consider an appropriate format rather than assigning you to a service based on a short description in a request form.

The consultation does not establish a diagnosis from a few words or replace a full course of treatment. If a concern needs medical evaluation, higher-level care, or support outside her practice, Andrea can discuss that boundary. You should be able to hear what the proposed work is for, how much it costs, and what remains uncertain before you decide whether to proceed.

The Credit

How the Fee Applies Later

The consultation costs $100 and is required before any intensive. The $100 is credited in full toward your first paid session or intensive. It is not free, and it is not a separate charge added to the fee for the first service if you continue. Ask any billing questions before scheduling so you know how the credit will appear.

For context, a 50-minute Individual Therapy appointment costs $225, individual Sex Therapy costs $250, and Couples and Sex Therapy costs $300. The 180-minute EMDR and ERP/OCD Intensives are $1,500 each. These prices describe the paid services available after a fit conversation; the consultation is where the focus and format can be discussed rather than assumed.

A Practical Beginning

What Happens After You Request It

The only contact path on this site is the consultation request form. Online consultation requests open when the site launches. When requests are available, you can share enough to identify the concern without sending a full personal history through the form. Andrea can then have the fuller clinical conversation in an appropriate setting.

Care is available by secure telehealth when you are physically located in Texas, Colorado, or Idaho during a session. You can speak in English or Spanish. If you are considering an intensive, the required consultation gives you time to ask whether weekly therapy, an extended specialty session, or a different option fits better without committing to the longer appointment.

It is fine to arrive with uncertainty about the category of care. You might say that a recurring thought takes hours of your day, that a memory interrupts your sleep, or that a partner conversation keeps collapsing. Those are concrete details Andrea can ask about. You are not being asked to present a convincing case for treatment; the appointment is time to consider what care can and cannot offer.

A Next Step

When to Reach Out

When consultation requests open, you can use the form to say what has been difficult and what you want to ask Andrea. You do not need to commit to a specific treatment in that request. The $100 appointment gives both of you time to consider the fit before the first paid session or intensive.
