For the Capable Person
Therapy for Professionals and High Achievers
You keep showing up for everyone else. Privately, each decision may cost more than anyone sees.

Behind Competence
The Workday Has an Afterlife
You close the laptop but replay a meeting for hours. A small mistake becomes evidence you are not as capable as people think. You know the language of boundaries and burnout; knowing it has not stopped you from answering one more message or checking a decision again.
Andrea works with adults who can name their patterns yet feel caught in them. Sessions look at what a workday asks of you and what happens when uncertainty follows you home. The aim is to understand the actual costs, not to tell you to care less about your work.
First Session Focus
Bring One Workday Moment
01A decision you revisited after it was already made.
02The message you could not stop rewriting.
03The feeling that arrived when everyone else went home.
Competence does not cancel out exhaustion.
The Session
Go Beyond Another Recap of the Week
You can bring one recurring moment: the email you rewrote, the conversation you avoided, or the task you cannot call finished. Andrea asks what you feared would happen, what you did to feel certain, and whether the relief lasted. That specificity can distinguish perfectionism from an OCD cycle that needs ERP.
Privacy is part of the consideration. Secure telehealth lets you speak from a place you choose while you are located in Texas, Colorado, or Idaho. You do not have to present a professional version of yourself in the appointment.
Time That Fits
Choose a Useful Rhythm
Individual Therapy is $225 for 50 minutes. Regular sessions can follow the pattern as it shows up between appointments. An Extended Specialty Session is $395 for 90 minutes when a longer meeting fits the concern and your calendar.
An intensive may suit someone who needs concentrated, extended therapeutic time rather than a standard weekly slot. The type of intensive depends on the clinical concern; it is not simply a longer version of a busy person's appointment. A $100 consultation is required before any intensive. The $100 is credited in full toward your first paid session or intensive.
Outside Work
There Is More Than One Role Here
Perhaps the same need to be certain enters relationships: you rehearse a difficult talk, check how you sounded, or hold yourself responsible for everyone's comfort. Andrea can look at where the pattern repeats and where it changes. The work does not ask you to choose between ambition and a private life.
If your worry centers on intrusive thoughts or compulsive checking, an ERP-focused approach may fit. If an old experience is still shaping your responses, Andrea is EMDR trained. Treatment is chosen after understanding your concern rather than from a list of methods you are expected to select yourself.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be in crisis to seek therapy?
No. A repeating pattern that is affecting your day, relationships, or sleep is worth discussing.
How do I know if an intensive fits my schedule?
The $100 consultation considers clinical fit as well as format; an intensive is concentrated time, not automatically the right choice for a full calendar.
